Cast Cylinder Heads:

Why are they designed that way?

Tomorrow: Thursday, August 26, 2021

Presented by Matt Gamble, Banks Power

12:00 PM CDT

High-performance cast aluminum cylinder heads have become increasingly common in the aftermarket. Casting a cylinder head allows manufacturers to make a strong, high performance part with complex geometry at a reasonable retail price. Have you ever wondered what goes into the design of these heads and what decisions lead to the final part that the customer buys? Have you wondered how the castings are designed and manufactured? Matt Gamble will answer these questions and more as he delves into the engineering and manufacturing behind these incredibly unique parts. Gamble is Manager of Design, Assembly & Test of Engine Programs at Banks Power and has spent the past decade designing high-performance cast aluminum cylinder heads.
