In trying to limit the spread of COVID-19, policymakers nationally had the difficult task of balancing the positive health effects of lockdown regulations against the adverse economic effects of these measures, such as the burduns on business and ultimately its employees and their families. In South Africa, lockdown policies have been relatively stringent, and the economic impacts devastating.The COVID-19 lockdown regulations have had a devastating effect on the vehicle testing industry. The Vehicle Testing Association (VTA) lays out their plans for navigating these tricky times.


Over the past two years the South African Motor Body Repairers’ Association (SAMBRA) has been lobbying hard to eradicate any unfair business practices, which are impacting negatively on member growth.
