Live in Frankfurt and online

Dear Ms. Cermak,

There is a real need for face-to-face interaction – we feel it as much as you do. That is why I am delighted that the automotive aftermarket will finally be able to get together again at Automechanika Frankfurt from 14 to 16 September. We have modified our concept to meet the needs of the current situation: with our Digital Plus format, we are offering a compact exhibition on site in Frankfurt, as well as an extensive digital programme with new features. This ensures that those who are unable to travel to the event due to international travel restrictions or company policies will still be able to take part in the extensive supporting programme and make new business contacts. An added bonus: the logistics industry is gathering on the Frankfurt exhibition grounds at the very same time for Hypermotion to drive progress in resilient supply chains, fleet management and IoT systems.

Live or online – we look forward to interacting with you. Find out more about what awaits you in this newsletter.

Body & Paint Weltmeisterschaften 14.-16.09.2021

Automechanika Frankfurt Digital Plus has another excellent supporting programme on tap for you this year. Highlights include the Future Mobility Workshop 4.0 – an innovation showcase, training centre and test lab for car dealers and workshops. Here, tomorrow’s technologies, processes and business models will be on display in eight learning stations. We will also be collaborating with prestigious partners once again to offer a range of practical workshops for automotive workshops. These will be focused on the challenges posed by digitalisation and new technological developments.

In addition, the Automechanika Academy is offering a wide-ranging programme on all three days of the event that features forward-looking presentations on topics such as Tomorrow’s Service & Mobility, Electromobility, 3D printing and the Car Wash business, as well as panel discussions (including the popular Collision talk) and much else besides. Another highlight: on 14 September, the German winner of the first Automechanika Body & Paint World Championships will be selected. Approx. a dozen paintwork specialists and teams are competing with car hood designs inspired by their countries of origin. ‘Bavaria’, ‘Football’ and ‘Frankfurt’ are the titles of three of the design concepts submitted. First, second and third place will be determined by a panel of experts. The international finals will take place two days later, with winners from the Automechanika trade fairs in Birmingham, Johannesburg and Shanghai having already been determined. The whole thing will be streamed live on the digital platform.

On 15 September, the first Automechanika Remanufacturing Day will be held. Here, experts present the circular economy and remanufacturing from a variety of perspectives and discuss these with the audience.

Hypermotion: at the interface between mobility and logistics

Two events – one goal: for the first time, users, developers and innovators from the fields of mobility and logistics are being brought together with the automotive aftermarket in a single location. The result: the creation of new synergies and business contacts between participants of Automechanika Frankfurt and Hypermotion – all with a single ticket. This makes it easier to capitalise on the many technical interfaces for both industries – examples include alternative drive systems, lightweight materials and construction, IoT systems and the creation and optimisation of resilient international logistics chains. At Hypermotion, you will find smart solutions for all the challenges entailed by decarbonisation, digitalisation, disruption, and decentralisation – solutions that can offer significant competitive advantages for suppliers.
