Johnson & Johnson Gets SABS Approved Mark

During a virtual certificate handover ceremony, Jonhson & Johnson explained the importance of receiving an independent certification from the South African Bureau of Standards. As a result, they are the first company in Africa with this certification.

Johnson & Johnson is committed to empowering young women. The collaboration and partnership with SABS support both brand’s message to keep more girls in school. This comes at a time when the spotlight is on gender equality in South Africa.

CHIETA & SABS signs Partnership Agreement

An important MOU was signed (virtually) between CHIETA – The Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority and SABS. This MOU will support about 100 SME’s and start a cross-sector collaboration that, in return, will stimulate SMME growth, especially in the chemical sector.
Standards play a huge role in the growth of the economy. This MOU is proof that standards are relevant. The consistency that is provided by using Standards is vital for a successful sustainability business.

<a href="” target=”_blank”>Lesco Manufacturing is a local producer of electrical products that employ the traditionally unemployable. The company was founded in 1999 by David Shapiro and, since its inception, has set out to increase job creation for demographics typically sidelined in the past.

LESCO’s commercial role is to produce their whole range of products at low cost with high quality and safety standards to the South African market. Fuel Service Station Owners Welcome the Container Ban

Products that carry our SABS Approved Mark are not only tested but must be certified as well. Therefore, a product that only has a test report can not bear the SABS Mark.

SANS 1176:2010 specifies the characteristics of self-supporting containers made of plastics materials of nominal capacities 5-220 L and are suitable for the storage/transportation of substances in liquid or solid form.

Graphical Symbols for Medical Devices – No Room for Error

The information provided on medical devices must be correctly understood by every player in the supply chain, whatever language they may speak. 

ISO 15223-1, Medical devices – Symbols to be used with information to be supplied by the manufacturer, is a globally adopted document applicable to symbols used across a wide range of medical devices, packaging and within accompanying information.
